Geographe has a long history of grape growing and more recently became an official wine appellation in 1999. It's a young, vibrant wine region now emerging as one of Australia’s most exciting wine making areas.

The region skirts the Indian Ocean inland to the West and Geographe Bay from Harvey in the North down to Busselton in the South of Western Australia.

The districts in Geographe include, Harvey, Ferguson Valley, Donnybrook and Capel, each area has a range of soil types and micro-climatic influences, but the cooling afternoon sea breezes from Geographe Bay unite the region with a warm maritime climate.

Coughlan Estate is a proud supporter of the Geographe wine region and works with the Geographe Wine Industry Association and other producers to develop a vibrant wine experience for those visiting the area.

 Traditional Custodians

We pay our respects to the traditional owners of the land, both past and present, and to the young people who will be leaders in the future.
